Twilight

I decided to finally read the Twilight saga by Stephanie Meyer after much nagging by my friends. And I am in love. It pains me when I remember that Edward Cullen is a fictional character...sigh. So this little pendant is Twilight inspired and is available in the shop right now. Jump on board the Twilight band wagon if you haven't already and read the books! I've read 1800+ pages in the last 5 days. Sigh. Edward Cullen......

Day 10---"Collection"

Here's today's 365. I'm pretty happy with it. The suitcase belonged to my great-grandmother whom helped raised my brother and I. I'm planning on doing some more 365s with it in the near future.

Re-Shoot!

I re-shot Sara's train tracks photographs this past week! We like the ones of Sara standing but wanted a more intimate and casual feel which I think we really accomplished!

Tomorrow

Tomorrow my 365 on flickr will be magical!!! I'll upload a copy tomorrow!

New Cupcake Pendants

I just wanted to post a sort post letting everyone know that I have some new polymer clay pendants available for sale in the shop! Everyone should wander over there and have a looksie! Have a great night!

I'm a Naughty Blogger

I never did post those photos of the new scarf I'm working on. Actually, I never even took the photos, but I swear to you the scarf is considerably longer than what it was last time. I swear!

So I'm a little swamped and frustrated as of today. I have lots of photos to edit, loads of homework, projects to start and finish and an etsy shop to run. Oh yeah, on top of all of that I started the 365 Days project on flickr. Luckily for me, I have an amazing boyfriend who is going to assist me in photoshopping. Just another reason on the list of why I love him. Since Nick has volunteered to help me I'm feeling much better and I had a photo session resechedule because of the weather so I have some extra time!

In the meantime here's a peak at yesterday's 365, but you should check my flickr to see what else I've been working on! And I'll try to get a photo up soon of my scarf!

It's Late...

....but I'll write a short one since it's been a couple days since my last post. I've been working on a glorious scarf that I'm knitting with chop sticks and Vanna White yarn. Yes, that's right Vanna White yarn. I'm also working on a lovely little project for my lovie. There will be photos to come tomorrow! I'd post them tonight, but I had school alllll day long and then had a mini photo session, then came home to homework and uploading endless amounts of photos. Crazy. So tomorrow I will hopefully have time to post photos!

On a side note; my two new favorite movies would have to include Across the Universe and Penelope. If you haven't seen them yet, do it now!!!
I want a beautiful boy like this ^^^ to serenade me with Beatles songs!!! My boy says he will sing along next time we watch it! YEAH!

Upcycled Envelopes

I came across a lovely fashion magazine in my hoardings and decided to make some more sets of upcycled envelopes. I'm really happy with the results and have put some up for sale in my etsy shop and will be adding more in the coming days. The two different sets above are Eternal Spring and Tropical! You should go check them out!

When Photo Sessions Go Bad; Outtakes

I wanted to share with you these silly outtakes from Sara's senior photo session on Thursday!

In the first photo Sara's 5 month old basset hound puppy decided to squish his face up and look ridiculously cute! Haha! And in the second photo Hurley decided to he was tired of posing and wanted to play! No Saras were harmed in the making of these photos!

Newest Senior Photo Shoot

So today I did a senior photo shoot with an old friend and got some great photographs. Working with them was a great experience. We had each other cracking up and Sara's puppy Hurley was too cute. Sara and her mom were so decisive and knew exactly what they wanted and I love it when that happens!

Pathetic...well only a Little Bit

I really need to blog more often. As of late, it's becoming more difficult to blog and make things for etsy. School has started up again, so that obviously adds to my schedule and I've been getting more hours at work which is nice because now I can actually save some extra money!
One thing I have added to the etsy shop is my version of button flowers. I've seen them popping up everywhere on etsy lately, which makes me a little sad because I've had plans for these little guys for a while. Oh well, I haven't seen any quite like mine and I have some more plans for other fake flowers. About a month or more ago I added these little gems to the etsy and I sadden and surprised to say they haven't received much attention. So you should probably head over to my etsy and check out my new maple seed pendants more in depth!

Lately...

So I've been busy lately editing loads of photos from 5 different shoots which is why I haven't been posting and this is where all these photos have come from! The cross stitch has been put on hold for right now. I'm going to the beach net week which I'm really looking forward to since I could use a break. I'm going to get back to photoshopping now!

Film's Here!!

So I got my ridiculously expensive Polaroid film about two days ago. I've been dreaming of the wonderous manipulated polaroids I'm going to create since then. I also picked up a Polaroid Captivia today at a yard sale for $3. Quite a bargain to say the least!

Crossstich Project

So during one of my trips to Michael's I rummaged through the discount bin and found this lovely little crossstich pattern for 27 cents! I thought it was too cute to pass by! This is the photo of what it should like like when finished... ..and this is what I have done so far. I've finished all of the light orange embroiding and am working my way onto the light turquoise. I will keep you posted as it continues!
I learned how to crossstich in elementary school when I joined an afterschool club run by one of my friend's crazy mother. I haven't crossstiched since probably early middle school so it feels good to brush up on the subject again. I might even pull out some old unfinished projects and ones I never got around to and finish those up too!

Dollar Store Find

I found this little gem recently at my neighborhood dollar store. If you can't tell from the picture it's a little ceramic creamer shaped like a camera! I was astounded with the find and walked around the store for a while with the intention of buying it, but eventually talked myself out of it. No I do not regret this decision, well not too much. It didn't seem very practical to buy a creamer that I would most likely not use, so this picture will suffice. I just wanted to share what treasures can be found at the dollar store!

SX 70 Time Zero Film

Would it be entirely ridiculous of me to spend $50 on 2 packs of time zero sx70 film? It's the last run ever. Well, like Cooley always said...you gotta suffer for you art.

Examples

Here's a photograph from my latest senior photo session with the lovely Amy!
And here's an example of some of my polymer clay pendants!!!

Art as of Late

I created this blog so long ago but have yet to begin, and well there's no better time than the present.

I've been pretty busy lately. I'm slowly evolving my etsy. I'm moving past buttons and playing with polymer clay. Polymer clay and I get along very well, a relationship that began formally in my fine crafts class my senior year in high school. I'm planning on incorporating photographs into the clay and my work very soon. I have a lot of sewing projects running through my head and am very interested in incorporating more upcylcing into my work and projects.

Photographically I'm slowly falling more and more in love with my new digital SLR. I did a friend of mine's senior portraits and have several more senior photo shoots scheduled. I, of course, find this very exciting and a step forward.

Photos to come...maybe even tonight!
