Joseph Cornell

Joseph Cornell, a self taught artist that the visionary art museums have not yet exploited (thankfully).  Joseph spent most of his life in the same small town, caring for his ailing family members.  During this time he began making art in the forms of videography and these examples of sculptural collages.  There's something haunting and ironic in his chosen art to be contained within small boxes and frames, given the background of his life.  I've seen his works in person and they're wonderfully brilliant, precise and meticulous.

Imogen Cunningham

Imogen Cunningham, a woman with a quiet mystery and an eye for sharp, deliberate focus.  There's such a stillness to her artwork, it transcends time but stops it in it's place.  Some inspiration for the coming days.

The Internet

The internet kills my creativity. It's such a large, daunting space and it makes me feel as though (sometimes) I am not worthy of the term artist.  But then, I snap out of it and realize that I need to just "Do me".
