Arno Rafael Minkkinen's images are extraordinary.  My  mind's eye has been confronted with the simple illusions of the everyday that I, generally fail to acknowledge.  I think I may have found a new photographer to add to my growing list of favorites.

Matthew Kern is well known artist in Baltimore, and this year is nominated for a Baker Award.  I love his dreamy polaroids, and his willingness to show the "less finer" things that we polaroid enthusiasts know so well.

William Wegman

I find myself constantly drawn to works expressing the subtleties of relationships, including those with the animal world.  William Wegman gives his audience a sampling of the complicated, yet endearingly simple relationship between a man and his dog.  The trust and love for dog and owner almost becomes tangible.

Sarah Mei Herman

Sarah Mei Herman writes that she is fascinated by the relationship between other people, particularly the sibling relationship, and the transitions and thresholds of these relationships.  I myself am throughly captivated by the sibling relationship, and find this work to be a perfectly timed new perspective.

Nicolas de Staël

One of my favorite painters,Nicolas de Staël, whom I haven't thought about in some time. I missed him so.
